PEM View - Remaining Income Potential calculation

Follow

In the PEM View, you'll see a "Remaining Income Potential" value at the top of the Income tank.  This value is the sum of all anticipated remaining inflows (after the year currently displayed.)

Here's an easy-math concrete example of what this means:

Let's assume our client intends to work for 10 more years and makes 100k/year. (no inflation, no social security.)

In year one, his remaining income potential is 900k. (His inflow on bottom tube is 100k.)

In year two, his remaining income potential is 800k. (His inflow on bottom tube is 100k.)
...
In year ten, his remaining income potential is 0. (His inflow on bottom tube is 100k.)

Hope this helps!
