Savings Efficiency Presentation

One of my favorite presentations inside Circle of Wealth® is Savings Efficiency. I love it because of its simplicity and how clearly it communicates an important idea:

Small changes in spending can create big financial results.

Many clients, especially spenders, focus entirely on earning more or getting a better rate of return. Business owners often understand that every dollar earned has a cost, and the lower the cost, the more profit they keep. Many consumers miss this concept.

Let’s look at a simple example:

Suppose a client earns $102,000 per year and saves $6,000 annually while earning a 6% return on those savings.

At a 6% return, that $6,000 generates:

$360 of annual earnings

Since they earn $102,000 and save $6,000, their annual expenses are approximately:

$96,000

Now ask the question:

What happens if we reduce expenses by just 1%?

A 1% reduction in expenses saves:

$960 per year

That additional $960 is equivalent to earning:

16% on the original $6,000 savings

The client is already earning 6%, but by improving efficiency, they effectively created an additional return without taking any investment risk.

We can also look at this as a fixed dollar amount.

If the client saves:

$2,500 more per year

That is equivalent to approximately:

41.67% return on the original $6,000 savings

Push the example further:

If expenses are reduced by 3%, the client saves approximately:

$2,880 annually

Equivalent return:

48%

Now ask the important question:

How much risk did that 48% return require?

None.

Trying to earn 48% through investing would require substantial risk.

Saving money through efficiency changes is risk-free.

That is why the Savings Efficiency presentation is so powerful.

Every dollar we do not spend is money we keep. Every dollar we keep can be redirected and invested.

For clients who have:

$100,000 coming in and $100,000 going out

even small changes can create significant long-term opportunities.

This presentation helps clients visualize that:

Small changes can make a big difference.
